About Ashley Cotton Decorative Arts

Ashley Cotton grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where her love of art and design first took shape. She went on to earn a degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture, grounding her artistic vision in structural knowledge and design principles.

For more than three decades, Ashley has transformed spaces with murals, sculptural elements, and fine decorative finishes. From marbleized trim in her very first commission to large-scale projects across Bermuda, Georgia, New York City, Connecticut and beyond, her work blends architectural understanding with painterly imagination. 

Now based in Southern Connecticut, Ashley brings craftsmanship, creativity, and a sense of story to every project, tailoring her artistry to reflect both the space and the people who inhabit it.
